Experience the Casino Cafe
Are you a boater, day-tripper or
"landlubber" staying in one of the many beach houses, and ready to
partake and Experience the Casino Cafe's Fine Dining at Fire
Island's Only Ocean Front Restaurant.
Well
Davis Park, like all of Fire Island, is situated on one of the
world's most beautiful beaches. It consists of miles and miles of
pure, white sand. You can frequently see deer actually walking on
the boardwalks, no longer afraid of people.
Your Experience may start by taking the Long Island Railroad
to the Patchogue Station. Then a short cab or walk down Cedar Avenue to
the Great South Bay, a right on Brightwood Street and the Ferry
Terminal is at the Town of Brookhaven, Sandspit Marina. The
Davis Park Ferry
runs a regular schedule and if you are quick a seat on the top deck
will allow the salty sea air and views of Fire Island's incomparable
natural assets, to melt-away any stress that might have taken hold.
As you pull into the dock by ferry or boat, life becomes simple.
Dress is casual, people are relaxed, friendly and paradise is yours.
Stroll straight up the Main Walk and there, atop a dune commanding a
view of the bay, the ocean and the entire community is the Casino
Cafe, a natural haven since 1945 (with a
rebirth in 1995).
Entering the Casino Cafe a hostess will
confirm your reservation, and escort you to perhaps an Oceanside
Table, on the deck jutting out of the dune with views of the entire
coastline. Maybe a seat at Edja's Martini Bar just a few steps
above the main dinning room for a starter, a cocktail and a view of
the ocean. Better yet a table in the Mainland Sunset Room with
amazing views of the sunset over Long Island. The Casino Cafe
is cooled by ocean breezes and large ceiling fans. The walls are
adorned with artwork from Timeless Beach Impressionist
Walter Desel,
award winning photographer Jim Johnson, and 60th Anniversary
Commemorative Photos of The Casino 1945-2005 by
